2024 PBKNCA Graduate Scholarships Announced

UC Davis graduate students who are members of Phi Beta Kappa are encouraged to apply for a $10,000 scholarship from the Phi Beta Kappa of Northern California Association (PBKNCA). PBKNCA offers several awards each year. Our campus has had strong representation since the awards were created, with students from a wide range of disciplines receiving awards.

Application Open: Key Into Public Service Scholarship

The Society invites online applications for our Key into Public Service scholarship. In addition to awarding $5,000 undergraduate scholarships for successful applicants, this program connects promising liberal arts and sciences majors with pathways into local, state, and federal government service. Membership is not required, but students must attend a Phi Beta Kappa chapter institution and participate in a June 2022 conference that will provide training, mentoring, and resources.

Congratulations to Our 2021 Inductees

Students representing all four colleges were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor society of its kind. 

Three Grad Students Awarded Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship

Graduate Students in Ecology and Soils & Biogeochemistry have received scholarships from Phi Beta Kappa - Northern California Association. Nina Venuti and Tali Caspi of Ecology and Iris Holzer in Soils and Biogeochemistry have been recognized for their work on conifer forests, urban carnivores, and cropland soils. Having three graduate Phi Beta Kappans in the fields of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is a significant marker of the quality of our graduate students. 

Valencia Scott '20 is one of two Marshall Scholarship Recipients

Scott will pursue a DPhil in Criminology at Oxford

Two UC Davis students have been awarded prestigious Marshall Scholarships in a  decades-old British government program that pays for American students to pursue advanced degrees at British universities.

ΦBK Offers $5,000 Undergraduate Scholarships for Public Service

The Society invites online applications for our Key into Public Service scholarship. The goal is to connect promising liberal arts and sciences students with opportunities in local, state, and federal public service careers and award $5,000 undergraduate scholarships to successful applicants. Interested students can learn more and apply online until January 15, 2021 at https://pbk.org/ServiceScholarsApp.

Key Connections event September 10, 2020

Key Connections is a national program designed to connect recent graduates and young professional members with networking and career opportunities across the country. Through a series of annual events hosted by our 50 alumni associations, members build connections and engage with their local communities.
