We honor student excellence
Phi Beta Kappa is a non-profit organization and our chapter is run by volunteers. We hold an induction ceremony each spring to welcome new student members into our chapter, Kappa of California. We depend on dues and contributions from PBK Members in Residence at UC Davis and other supporters. All funds are used to pay for ceremony expenses, membership certificates, and fee waivers for a few students each year.

How to Contribute
What is the student membership fee?
Newly elected students must pay a one-time membership fee of $85 to complete their enrollment in the national Phi Beta Kappa Society. Our chapter receives a small portion, with which we purchase students' membership certificates. Most of the fee goes to the national office, which increased the fee to $75 per student in the fall of 2016.
